My son loves to read, and he reads FAST. I have trouble keeping up with him - providing him with books that are appropriate, but that he will still enjoy. If you find yourself in the same situation, take a look at this list.
These are all books that my son has read over the last 2-3 years (he's 13 now). Since I'm not sure what your boy is into (mine is heavy on the wizard/dragon/strange/mythology/spy/teenage boy books, and not so much the sports/biography type books), you may want to take some titles from here, look them up on Amazon to get an idea what they are about, and make your decision from there.
But I can tell you that if the subject matter and age level fit, then these books are GREAT!
